The Scottish National Team succeeded in securing their place in the overdue European championship after a long and frustrating journey. They qualified through a nail pitting penalties shoot-out to reach their major tournament in the last 20 years.

The Journey Of Qualification

Scotland was in the group “I” with Belgium, Russia, Cyprus, San Marino & Kazakhstan. They finished 3rd in the group behind two strong giants Belgium and Russia with 15 points through 5 wins and 5 losses, so Scotland qualified for the playoffs.

They got Israel in the draw at home in Glasgow & the winner will face the winner from Norway vs Serbia. It was a difficult closed game against Israel that went into extra-time & penalties shoot-outs.
