After a heroic display of football, Switzerland almost killed themselves after Ricardo Rodriguez missed a penalty spot and a chance to go two goals above France.

However, France capitalized on their chances and scored three past Switzerland after a few moments. The Swiss team didn’t settle for a draw and went berserk on Les Bleu’s by equalizing just before the full-time whistle.

The match went into penalties, and PSG forward, Kylian Mbappe, was the only French player to miss the penalty.

Switzerland now faces former Barcelona’s side Spain in what seems to be a feisty encounter.

After drawing two initial games of the group stages, Spain has pulled back-to-back wins, scoring a total of 10 goals. Most fans are singing praises of the Barcelona veteran Sergio Busquets because his presence in the midfield has caused uproar and freedom in attack.

Luis Enrique and his men now face a stern test against a side that has eliminated the World Cup winners in the round of 16. What do you think are the chances of this Spanish side? Let us know in the comments.

Possible lineups

Barring any injury or suspension news, Switzerland and Spain will be lining up like this:
